Dream, Dream, Dream
Dreams transform into thoughts
Mr. Kalam was born on 15 october 1931, is one of India's most ditinguished scientists. He was responsible for the development of Indias first satellite launch vehicle, the SLV-3, development and operationalization of strategic missiles and their weaponization and building indigenous capability in critical technologies. He has a unique honour of receiving honorary doctrates from thirty universities and the country's three highest civilian awards - Padama Bhushan (1981), Padama Vibhushan (1990) and Bharat Ratna (1997).
Once a student asked a question from Dr. Kalam which has been discussed below:
Student: "Sir, I have recently come across Dr Amartya Sen's statement that the nuclear weapon test conducted in May 1988 by India was ill coceived. Dr Amartya Sen is a great economist and Nobel laureate who is mush respected for his ideas on development. A comment from such a personality cannot be ignored. what is your views on his comments?"
Dr. Kalam: "I acknowledge the greatness of Dr Amartya Sen in the field of economic development and admire his suggestions, such as that thrust should be given to primary education. In his views India should have a friendly relationship with all countries to enhance its economic prosperity.I agree, but we must bear India's experience in past. Pandit Nehru spoke in United Nations against nuclear proliferation and advocated zero nuclear weapons in all the countries. We know the result. One should note that there are more than 10000 nuclear warheads on American soil, another 10000 nuclear warheads on Russian soil and there are a numbers of them in the UK, China, France, Pakistan and some other countries. And recent agreement between the USA and Russia only talk about reducing the number of nuclear warheads to 2000 each and these agreements are limping. Nobody takes the reduction of warheads in serious terms.
It is essential to remember that two of our neighbouring countries are armed with nuclear weapons and missiles. Can India be the silent spectator?
I say No!
I say No!
Dr. Kalam is a visionary man and may be he have foresighted India to be developed til 2020, if understand it how, this vision may not be impossible too. He has been always focusing on the young generation and we should know how crucial duty has been been levied on our shoulder for the development of the nation. Now we cant even demand more from his side his contribution is immence he has served 20 yrs in ISRO (Indian Space and Sesearch Organization) & 20yrs in DRDO (Defence Research & Development Organisation) and also became the 12th President of India. What else we want from him?? Whereas when we talk about our contribution its negligible not worth cosidering.
When I think what is my dream, I think of MBA, good placement/packages, good wife and at last good life, What else? Did I dreamt for a India without poverty? NO Who's selfish I and "I" here means every "Indian"
As it has been rightly said by Shiv Khera: "har pusht ko apni azadi ki kimat chukani padti hai"
We should somewhat ashamed of ourself, isnt it? We have really forgotten the contribution by freedom fighters like Bhagat Singh and many more.....they fought and they achieved freedom,
Now its our turn we are still ruled by Povert, illleteracy, unemployment and many many more. Time is Now! Wake up!
Fight for your freedom.
Fight for your country.
" Long years ago, we made a tryst with destiny and now times comes when we shall redeem our pledge........ At the stroke of midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom."-Jawaharlal Nehru
